The first two years with your new baby can be an exciting time, but it can also be confusing and not what you were expecting.
This can leave you questioning:
- am I good enough as a parent?
- am I bonding with my baby?
- does my baby like me?
- I don't understand what my baby is trying to tell me?
- I have no idea what I'm doing?
- It feels like I'm looking after someone else's baby?
- How can I play with my baby?
These are all very normal ways to think, but if you would like to speak to someone about the way you are feeling as a new parent, then our parent infant therapists may be able to help you, for free!
They can help you to increase your confidence, reduce your stress and better enjoy your relationship with your baby by helping you build on the strengths you may not know you already have.
Blackburn with Darwen Family Hubs are working in partnership with Blackpool Teaching Hospitals Parent Infant Relationship Service (PaIRS) to provide this brand new support for families with children from late pregnancy until the child's second birthday.
