On Thursday 19 September, between 9am and 3pm, sixteen local secondary schools are participating with around 2,150 young people attending the event.
An invitation is also extended to young people aged 16 to 18, including those who are NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training).
Previously named Blackburn is Hiring, the event is now in its seventh year and is made up of both education and training providers as well as local employers.
Blackburn’s Inspiring will offer potential future employment opportunities as well further study and training and all exhibitors will be allocated across two floors at King George’s Hall.
Cllr Julie Gunn, Executive member for Children, Young People and Education, said:
"This is a great opportunity for our young people to see what opportunities are available to them. It will offer advice, training and career opportunities giving them an insight into what skills they need to go forward. The previous Blackburn’s Inspiring events have been a great success, and we will look forward to welcoming our young people to engage and become inspired about their future prospects."
