In Blackburn with Darwen we support the motto that any drop of breast milk matters. We have implemented the baby friendly standards from Unicef to support all parents on their feeding journey. We are extremely proud to have retained the Gold standard after a visit from Unicef February 2024.
This means that we have qualified and dedicated practitioners on hand to provide advice and guidance. You can access this over the phone or by attending your local Family Hub or Children's Centre.

Breastfeeding support groups
For advice and guidance to support your breastfeeding journey come along to one of our breastfeeding support groups.
Sessions are led by a qualified practitioner who will be able to answer any questions you may have.
