Blackburn Foodbank can provide three days pf nutritionally balance, non-perishable food.

A typical food parcel includes:

  • breakfast cereals
  • soup
  • pasta
  • rice
  • pasta sauce
  • tinned beans
  • tinned meat
  • tinned vegetables
  • tinned fruit
  • tea or coffee
  • biscuits
  • snacks

To get help, you will need to get a referral from one of our partner agencies.

Current agencies include:

  • social workers
  • housing providers
  • Job Centre work coach
  • health professionals including GPs
  • drug and alcohol services
  • Blackburn with Darwen Help Hub
  • support workers
  • education providers if you have an enrolled child, for example nurseries, primary schools, secondary schools and colleges
  • domestic violence services
  • Shelter
  • Children’s centres
